Visit 36 Jewry Street for fabulous pre-loved items in support of the vital end-of-life care services delivered by Mountbatten Hampshire across Southampton and large parts of Hampshire. Mountbatten Winchester is the latest addition to our growing network of charity shops, which help raise essential funds to support the 24/7 expert teams providing compassionate care to more than 2,000 people facing death, dying, and bereavement across Southampton and large parts of Hampshire, including the Winchester area. Becky McGregor, CEO of Mountbatten, said: “This new shop is a fantastic opportunity for Winchester’s community to come together, find quality second-hand items at affordable prices, and support a cause that makes a real difference. Every purchase and donation helps us meet the rising demand for our services, ensuring we can continue to provide 24/7 expert care and support when it matters most.” The shop will be led by a dedicated manager, supported by a team of volunteers. Mountbatten Hampshire has served the local community for over 40 years, working closely with NHS and social care partners, including Winchester Hospice, to ensure 24/7 seamless and compassionate care. Over the past three years, the charity has seen a 71per cent increase in the number of people receiving its services, highlighting the growing need for hospice services across the area.
