Ways you can volunteer with Mountbatten Hampshire: Become a Mountbatten Neighbour Mountbatten Neighbours support older Hampshire and Southampton residents who are living with chronic life-limiting illnesses, and with frailty, and those feeling isolated. Neighbours offer their time, companionship and support, and develop natural, mutual friendships. They are valued by those they visit. A Mountbatten Neighbour will usually visit or meet with someone for at least one hour a week, but it can be more if you choose. Help out in a shop near you or at our Furniture Shop and Donation Centre, in Crosshouse Road, Southampton (near the Itchen Bridge). CLICK HERE for more about becoming a charity shop volunteer in Southampton/Hampshire Volunteer to help run a Mountbatten Hampshire event Roles will vary but will include welcoming participants and spectators to event sites and locations, supporting the event manager with set-up and pack down, providing information to participants and spectators, registering or checking-in participants, collecting donations, supporting participants around the event, such as marshalling, cheering or handing out refreshments, celebrating participants who cross the finish line and giving out medals and water.
