Aim of Mountbatten Hampshire's course

A two hour course designed to enable nurses to be able to verify expected deaths of their patients within their area of work. 

Course Content

  • To provide the learner with a clear understanding of the current UK legislation regarding verification of death by registered nurses.
  • Identify and recognise professional responsibilities relating to verification of death
  • Demonstrate the appropriate knowledge and skills to undertake this role through the specific training
  • To verify death in accordance and compliance with policy and appropriate documentation

Methods: Presentation, discussion, demonstration and practical.

*: We will provide a certificate of attendance only. This session will not check or sign off competencies; a policy will need to be in place in your own workplace to ensure competencies are checked within the team.

Cancellation Policy:

We understand that sometimes it is necessary to change plans. However, to ensure our costs are covered in the event of cancellation the following charges will apply.

  • Cancellations (and requests to transfer bookings to another date) made with at least 8 weeks’ notice will incur a £25 administration fee.

  • No refund of course fees (partial or full) will be available where notice to cancel is received within 8 weeks of the course start date, or in the event of non-attendance or partial attendance.
