The countdown is on to Hampshire’s 2025 running challenge, Southampton Marathon on Sunday, 6 April 2025 and we need you to take on the challenge in aid of Mountbatten Hampshire. Whether it's the 5k or the full marathon, running the ABP Southampton Marathon could help us raise vital funds. Starting and finishing in the centre of Southampton, this inspiring route goes over the famous Itchen Bridge, with its glorious views across Southampton Waters, The Solent and the New Forest. Following the Weston Shore, its route takes you inside the legendary St Mary’s Football Stadium, home to Southampton FC (aka The Saints!). You will finish your run through the beautiful Riverside Park, before crossing into Portswood and running through Southampton Common…then you just need to focus on reaching that finish line! The atmosphere electric and the Race Village is always buzzing with support and excitement. It really is an event experience like no other! Which Southampton Marathon distance will YOU sign up for? Southampton Marathon takes place on 6 April 2025. There are FOUR distances which means there is something to suit YOU! Our Southampton-based hospice and 24/7 community services reach over 1,600 people across Hampshire in any one day, in Hampshire residents' homes and in our inpatient unit. Mountbatten receives a third of its funding from the NHS. This has not been rising with inflation and our costs are rising. It means community funding and donations are increasingly important.
