Click here to take on a challenge in 2026!

On 28 September, 2025, over 80 people will Walk the Test Way in aid of your local hospice, Mountbatten Hampshire — and it is not too late for you to join them!

Our Head of Fundraising, Helen O’Brien, will lead the charge. She will walk the full 25 miles of The Rotary Club for Romsey Test-organised event. Others will take on anything from five miles.

Their hard-earned fundraising money will be paid directly to Mountbatten, before 20 per cent passes to the organisers, to cover costs and for other charitable activities.

Helen said: “I'm walking with my son and I'm looking forward to spending the day chatting with supporters and friends of Mountbatten, enjoying wonderful Hampshire countryside and, of course, regular snacks and laughs!

"I've decided to take on this challenge to raise funds for the incredible work Mountbatten does for our community. Every day at work I feel humbled by the care and compassion of our nurses and staff, and the warmth shown by our volunteers and supporters.

"Thinking about them, and the people they care for, will keep me putting one foot in front of the other."
In 2024, an amazing (and vital!) £10,723 was raised for Mountbatten Hampshire and the Rotary Club Romsey Test.

It takes around £10.5 million to run Mountbatten Hampshire each year. A part of that comes from NHS commissioners, but most is from the community, including grants, donations and fundraising opportunities like this. Help us support our nurses and doctors to provide 24/7 end-of-life care to people in their own homes across Southampton and large parts of Hampshire, and in our inpatient unit.
