Hursley, near Chandler's Ford, will host H & R Fest 2025 on 28 June, with profits going to charity, including Mountbatten Hampshire.

H & R Fest celebrates the memory of both Hilary Venn, who died in 2022, following a breast cancer diagnosis, and Ros Hunnisett-Graham. Both women had a passion for music and loved to party.

Hilary (pictured below) was cared for by your local hospice, Mountbatten Hampshire.

In memory of Ros, Flag Bedford, for adults with a physical or learning disability and/or sensory impairment, is the other charity recipient.

Now in its second year, 2025's H & R Fest will take place on 28 June, at Silkstead Farm, Hursley, which sits between Chandler's Ford and Winchester. Organisers promise live music, delicious food, and activities for children.  

• Gates open at 11am and the music starts at 1pm;
• There's everything from from rock'n'roll, disco, funk and folk to Djembe drumming and blues;
• Tickets cost £25 for over 15s, £10 for children aged five to 15, and under 5s go free;
• Festival-goers are invited to camp or bring a camper or caravan for free.

Expect face paints, hair braiding, glitter, giant bubbles and loads of space for kids to run around.

There is an on-site bar, food stalls and even a marquee for shade (or if the weather changes unexpectedly).

Organisers said: "H & R Fest is a family friendly music festival, put on by like-minded people who want to put on a show to raise money for amazing causes, while supporting local artists from all genres." 

Mountbatten Hampshire delivers vital 24/7 end-of-life care to people across Southampton and large part of Hampshire. It supports around 1,700 people in any one day, in their own homes, in hospital and in its hospice, in West End, Southampton.
