Sue was often described as a gentle, kind and beautiful soul, but she was more than that, she was brave, courageous and incredibly strong. She remained positive and hopeful through her darkest days and never stopped fighting. As her illness progressed, extra support was required. Thanks to the amazing carers at the Countess Mountbatten Hospice, Sue was able to maintain her dignity and pride throughout. They were so caring and attentive and treated her with the most upmost respect. They took the time to get to know her, helping to make those impossible days as bearable as they could. She was so grateful to them, as were we. There will never be words to express the pain of losing a woman so adored. Her legacy will go on forever. Through our words, through our kindness and through the love we show others. In lieu of flowers for Sue's funeral, we would like to ask for donations to support Mountbatten's services and the invaluable work they do.
