Mountbatten Conference 2026 delegates take part in workshop The Mountbatten Conference 2026 has now moved on to a workshop delivered by Mountbatten CEO Becky McGregor, as delegates speak about the development of Mountbatten's new three-year strategy. Becky immediately made sure that workers and volunteers from Mountbatten would join tables where no one from Mountbatten worked. The main message from this workshop is for everyone's voices to be heard. Click here to follow along with our Mountbatten Conference 2026 blog She quoted "Strategy doesn't live in PowerPoint decks, it lives in conversations and behaviours," which is key in our next three year strategy. Becky walked the room through Mountbatten's Mission, Vision, and Values, as well as Mountbatten's Strategy from 2020-2025, Becky describing it as "the right dose at the right time." She told the room that the most important plan in development is true 24/7 care, as most often when the people we care for need us is out of hours. She described the increasing demand for Mountbatten and the number of referrals that Mountbatten receives. She then asked the room a number of questions to chat among themselves about, including what Mountbatten should start, stop, and keep doing to do with Mountbatten's Mission, Vision, Values, and Strategy. Going around the room, we asked delegates what they thought about the Mountbatten Conference 2026. Asking one table how they would describe today's conference in a word, they said, "thought provoking, informative and inspiring", inspiring being a word that was brought up a number of times. Another table said, "Relevant, provocative, and timely." Becky left with her closing remarks, saying thank you to Southampton FC, to our sponsors, our speakers and to the team behind the scenes from Mountbatten. "A huge thank you for coming today and joining us, and have a very safe journey home." Manage Cookie Preferences
