Around 90 people are taking on the challenge in support of your local hospice, Mountbatten Hampshire, and among them are palliative care consultant, Sarah De Vos (left). She said: "I consider it a genuine privilege to do the work I do — caring for people and supporting them to live as well as possible through an incredibly difficult time in their lives. Mountbatten Hampshire is passionate about continuing to provide 24/7 palliative care to all who need it, in the most appropriate setting for each individual — be that their own home, nursing home, attending day hospice or spending some time in the inpatient unit. Please join me in supporting Mountbatten Hampshire in continuing the important work they do." Sarah (left), Helen (right), Charlotte (second right) and some of those who deliver 24/7 end-of-life care across Southampton and large parts of Hampshire, for Mountbatten Hampshire Sarah will actually be spending her birthday taking part in Walk the Test Way, earning her birthday cake! "I've decided to take on this challenge to raise funds for the incredible work Mountbatten does for our community. Every day at work I feel humbled by the care and compassion of our nurses and staff, and the warmth shown by our volunteers and supporters. "Thinking about them, and the people they care for, will keep me putting one foot in front of the other."
