Meet the Islanders at the Southampton Marathon and the Isle of Wight Ultra

Meet the teachers from Carisbrooke who are taking on the Southampton Marathon for Mountbatten Isle of Wight today (Sunday).

It's also day two of the the Isle of Wight Ultra and we want to say a huge good luck to Paul, who is raising funds for Mountbatten Isle of Wight.

Carisbrooke Primary's Max, Rich, and James, are running the ABP Southampton Marathon!

Max said: "James, Rich and I came up with a silly idea and instead of kicking a ball or marking books at the weekend, we’ve decided to put on some trainers for 26.2 miles of pavement instead."

Paul Webb

On 2- 3 May, Paul is taking part in the Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge 2026 for Mountbatten Isle of Wight!

"I'm raising money for the Isle of Wight Mountbatten Hospice, they do such an amazing and difficult job on the Island. They were fantastic when my dad needed care and sadly passed away from MS in 1998, he was only 49, so younger than I am now. More recently they provided amazing help and care for both my grandparents.
