What to expect on the day when you abseil the Spinnaker Tower in aid of Mountbatten Hampshire.

When you arrive, you will be taken to the podium level to be kitted out in your safety gear and harness, by the team of expert abseilers. A thorough safety briefing will follow.

The trained, professional team will take you in the high-speed lift to the viewing platform, where you will be guided to the external hatch.

Here, your harness will be attached to one of the two safety lines you will descend on.

Then you're ready for the off. Take a moment, sit back on your harness and give a wave, before you make your descent.

Go against all your instincts and trust the rope! Take in the views across Portsmouth and beyond on a day you will never forget.
